Crysis 2 Getting PC Patch

One of gaming's prettiest games is all set to receive a makeover to make it even more of a looker.

It seems that some intrepid Crysis 2 players found, and subsequently downloaded, DirectX 11 and high-res texture packs on Crytek’s web site before they were supposed to.  The developer has since removed the files, but has issued a statement that they will be available via an official patch on Monday.  Anyone who has already snagged the updates will have to download patch 1.9 on the 27th, just like the rest of us, in order to get them up and running.  Crysis 2 was already hailed as one of, if not the, best looking games around, so it shouldn’t be too hard for fans to exercise a little patience.
