In line with its longstanding tradition of delivering cool stuff in its home country first (or exclusively, in many cases), Nintendo is bringing a new 3DS color to Japan. According to their press release, the flare red variant will “invigorate the market”. I feel invigorated already, and I’m not even in the market.
There’s no word yet on the color making its way over to other markets, but it’s a safe bet that we’ll see the flare red 3DS in North America and Europe at some point. If past history is any indication — and it most certainly is — then The Big N is sure to deliver a bevy of system colors before this whole 3DS thing has run its course.
