Soul Calibur V Roster Looking Thirty Strong With a Mostly New Cast

Soul Calibur V is looking to expand on its roster in this edition with a total of twenty to thirty characters.  The astonishing part is that half of the cast of SC V will be completely new to the Soul Calibur universe.  So far the only new characters to be revealed are the descendants of Sophitia, Patroklos and Pyrrha.  This is pretty exciting news considering how often characters tend to get reused again and again in fighting games.  It is always nice to see a new face getting slashed to bits by giant swords.

Namco went on to say that in-depth character creation will be back for Soul Calibur V.   This seems to be a staple lately in Namco 3D fighting games and is definitely not a bad feature to boot.  So far this looks to be bright future for the stage of history and all its combatants.
