Transmission T²: Minecraft – ‘The Last Minecart’

And now for something a little different

This week’s transmission comes with no SPOILER ALERT whatsoever. Rejoice!

As much as I think it’s worthwhile to look at gaming from a more serious and considerate point of view on occasion, it isn’t ‘the point’ of sharing these videos with you. So for today we turn away from the quiet reflection on deep themes within games to bring you ACTION! ZOMBIES! CARDBOARD! And an EXPLOSION! Why? Because these things are fun, and gaming is about fun as much as anything else. Created by Sam & Niko, who collectively are CorridorDigital, comes this send-up of Minecraft called ‘The Last Minecart’. Enjoy the video, and while you’re at it, take note of some of the special visual effects they cooked up in keeping with the game. The aftermath of the creeper in particular was a nice touch.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Like always, if you have any videos you think we should be featuring here let us know at community@mashthosebuttons.com. We’ll see you back here tomorrow for Fridays in the Key of Geek.
