October 17, 2011

Sony’s push into digital distribution with the Vita will help push Jarret’s pantsless agenda further. We discuss that, plus the Hitman: Absolution playthrough, cop-killing in Battlefield 3, game movies, the future of consoles according to Gabe Newell, and more in Mashcast #26.

Hosts: Jarret Redding, Robert Hill-Williams
Theme: “Insert Coin” – Chris Geehan of Hyperduck Soundworks

Question of the Week:
If the Vita model of downloads being available the same day as release catches on, are you more likely to download your games or get them from a retailer still?

I am totally fine with downloading my games.  So long as console storage doesn’t become an issue, I see no reason why not to favor this.  The only reason I’d go to a retailer would be to get a special edition of a game or to get console peripherals and hardware.
