Microsoft Opens XBL Dashboard Tester Registration

The latest update to the 360's Dashboard is coming soon, but MS wants you to test it out before it's officially deployed.

Microsoft is now accepting applications for Xbox owners who wish to participate in a testing program for the upcoming Dashboard update that is rumored to be launching on November 25th.

Major Nelson announced the testing program today on his blog and said that work on the redesign “is almost complete.”  Those interested in becoming a tester will need to fill out a short questionnaire.  After signing up ourselves, we discovered that the program will go live some time within the next few weeks.  If chosen for participation, here are the new features that you will have access to on your 360:

• New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation
• New Beacons to play online with friends
• Deeper Facebook integration
• New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE Profile
