Xbox Companion App Heading to Windows Phones

Browse the 360 dashboard and control videos from your phone.

Microsoft is bringing a new application to Windows Phones that will add a new layer of interactivity between them and the Xbox 360. The free app will allow users to look up and control Xbox content right from their phones. Games, movies, music and TV shows can be found on the mobile device, and users can then view all sorts of detailed info about the selected media.

Once a selection has been made the phone will enter into ‘controller mode’. While in this mode, the phone can be used for navigating menus on your Xbox and for controlling video playback on the console.

A release date for the device is yet to be revealed, but MTB will bring you the date once it is announced.
