Rise from Rags to Riches With The Sims 3: Showtime Expansion

Are your Sims dramatic? Now they have a reason to be.

The Sims 3 Showtime

Electronic Arts has recently revealed that The Sims 3: Showtime expansion pack is currently in development. With this new expansion to the popular social simulation game, players’ Sims will be able to explore show business and all the perks and problems that come with it. New career paths include those such as a magician, a singer, an acrobat, or a DJ.

Apart from just playing the Sim that will be in the spotlight, players can also customize their own venues using props and special effects including a concert hall, a stadium, or an indie club. Social interaction with other Sims players is encouraged even greater in this new expansion, with live personalized news feeds (for individual games) as well as live updates. Borrowing cues from the Facebook game The Sims Social, players can post their Sim’s successes, share gameplay techniques, create wish lists, and send and receive gifts. Players can also search for new friends, share their game experience through the live updates, and send e-cards.

The Sims 3: Showtime is currently available for pre-order, and will also have a limited edition available upon release in addition to the standard version. Those that pre-order now will, for a limited time, have their order upgraded to the limited edition. This edition features the Ultimate Stage venue, which is a fully customizable venue. It’ll be fully usable in-game the way that any other venue will be. The difference will be that players can customize it in a lot of different ways (more so than any other arena).

The Sims 3: Showtime will be available in March of 2012 and more information can be found on the official site.
