Wii U Will Make Its Return at CES 2012

Maybe this time with some actual gameplay shown? Maybe.

With 2011 coming to a close, things are pretty quiet on the gaming front. All the most important news to come out of the Big Three has come and gone, and many gamers are dedicating a sizable chunk of what is normally playing time to holiday gift shopping and wrapping or waiting in high profile MMO server queues. However, that hasn’t stopped the gaming industry from talking about where the big news will be coming from next year.

A recent article on CNET claims that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are each planning on making flashy appearance at the upcoming CES 2012. While these titans of the industry are still tight-lipped on what they will be discussing, Nintendo has come out and stated frankly that they’ll be talking more about the Wii U. It’s still going to be a bit of time before the system will be playable to the public (Nintendo claims E3 2012 is the date for that), but we can all expect to hear a little more about Nintendo’s next console come January 10.
