Ridiculous Fun Awaits at the Indie MEGABOOTH

Megabooth is the biggest independent booth. Ever. In. PAX. History.

On the PAX East map this area is known as the Indie Pavilion, but it has been declared the indie MEGABOOTH, FOREVER SHALL IT REIGN.

While the big studios work to outdo each other, 16 indies have combined forces at PAX East to create the Indie MEGABOOTH. They’re showcasing 20 games at the center of the convention, thereby assembling the highest concentration of inventive, quirky, fantastic games on the show floor per square foot. (They measured this.) Fans can play the latest indie games, sneak a peek at as-yet-unseen titles, and interact with bona fide developers.

Not only will PAX attendees get their hands on 20 stellar games, they will be able to take part in a scavenger hunt. Who doesn’t like scavenger hunts? The “Indie Passport” pictured above is only the front side of some of the things hunters will have to collect. Upon completion of the hunt there will be prizes. I will partake, mainly because I enjoy encourage public foolery. My only hope is that when I complete #6 is that the person shouts: “STRANGER DANGER!” My final hope is that I do not get removed from the convention.

Katie has always had a connection to games and was able to make Super Mario Bros. a motion game before Nintendo even thought of the Wii. She has a serious addiction; an illness if you may, of loving ridiculous games. She has been through an extensive digital rehabilitation, but we fear her addiction is surfacing again.
