Mashing for Extra Life!

For the children!

Extra Life Charity Event 2012

On October 20th-21st Mash Those Buttons participated in the Extra Life charity drive for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  The drive lasted for 24 hours straight as we played fighting games, MOBAs, MMOs, FPS, and even horror games all through the night.  Our original goal was to raise $1000, and we hit that goal within the first 12 hours of our charity drive.  We raised the goal to $1500, and thanks to you very wonderful people we were able to hit that as well; raising a total of $1542!  Overall, Extra Life raised over 2 million dollars to go to CMN Hospitals!

Getting geared up for event was a lot of work, but we all had a blast doing it.  However, I think we can all agree now that gaming for 24 hours straight isn’t as easy as it sounds.  I’d like to thank everyone that participated in the event, and a double thanks to everyone that donated.  Without you guys, we would have just been playing games for 24 hours.  Mash Those Buttons will definitely be participating in next years Extra Life charity drive, and don’t be surprised if we do a charity event or two between now and then.  We have some pictures and videos of our event below for you to check out.  Take note of this year, because next year will definitely be bigger and better!
