Dust Off Your Pokedex

...and maybe that Gameboy too.

PokemonXPokemonY

If you haven’t yet heard the news, fans of Pokemon can start catching a whole new set of pokemon this October in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.  Not only will players be able to play in 3D, but with a worldwide launch no fan will have to wait to play.  Looks like I’m going to have to go out and buy a 3DS this year. I still have to wonder why they haven’t re-made the original games (Red, Blue, Yellow, Ruby, LeafGreen, and so on) for the DS or 3DS yet.  Sure you could go and find an emulator to play all the old games, but it’s just not the same.  I can’t be the only Pokemon fan who would re-buy the games if they did.

Now I’m not saying go and recreate the old ones in the new 3DS style.  Sure that would be a nice treat, but I would be fine will just being able to play the old games on a DS.
