Charity Game Stream for the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy on June 14

Gamers from around the globe will be playing 24 hours of constantly-changing games to raise money for the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy on June 14.

At 12:01am AST on June 14th, a ragtag group of gamers from around the globe will be joining forces again to bring you twenty-four hours of video game madness to raise funds for the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy. Plans are still being made for what is going to be played, so stay posted here on the site for an updated list of play times and games. Everything on every console is fair game, so you really don’t know what to expect during this Twitch stream.

For anyone wishing to donate to this worthy cause, please follow this link. You don’t need money to lend your support, though, as we’ll be happy to have people adding in to the madness that will be Joel streaming at 4am. Your support during this dark and loopy time during the stream will be greatly appreciated. Also, any game devs who want to have their game played during the stream or who’d be willing to donate codes to give away, please get in contact with me at jcouture(at)mashthosebuttons(dot)com. Your money and assistance goes toward making the lives of people with Muscular Dystrophy a lot easier, paying for expensive mobility equipment and funding research, so please do what you can! We’re open to all the help we can get!

So, why play games for a charity that’s supposed to be a walk? Well, there’s a young gamer in my life who’s inspired me with his courage, as has his family. You’d never know the challenges he faces every day when he starts smack talking your lousy play style during a Call of Duty match. He loves games almost as much as I do, so what better way can there be to raise money for him than by putting on a gaming show? Except that he’ll make fun of how terrible I am on the 15th. That part will be a drag.
