Until he found himself counting bullets in the claustrophobic halls of the Spencer Mansion, games had been just been a fun activity. They were funny, cheery, and bright, even when they weren’t trying to be. With his adventures through Silent Hill and sleepless nights spent playing Fatal Frame, he found that games could affect him on a personal level. His fear was real, even if the world that caused it was not.
