Valve has announced that Steam Machines will be customizable PC’s running SteamOS that will be available in 2014.  No specs were provided, but there will be several builds provided by several manufacturers.  Hundreds of games will run natively using SteamOS, but for those that don’t, streaming will be available.  There will be a small beta late this year.  To apply you need to join the  Steam Universe Community Group, agree to the Steam Hardware Beta Terms, have ten steam friends and a public Steam Community profile, and play a game with a gamepad in Big Picture mode, all before October 25th.

In other news, I need more Steam friends before October 25th.

Nick's main in WoW is Gragtharr, a Tauren Hunter on Skywall. Also look for Cloudhowler on Argent Dawn. He also plays Hearthstone, but sucks for as much as he plays.
