Double Tap #64: New Year, New Games 2018

After a long year of hard work, the Double Tap team hangs up the 2017 wrinkled shirt and puts on a brand new sweater. Happy New Year! It is time to embrace the new games of 2018. The guys kick off the new year with a special guest with Tournament organizing experience and competitive accolades. Ryan “Uchi” Rojas, better known as Uchi of UchiGames, sits down with the team and expresses his thoughts and feelings as the team keeps it interesting when not everyone’s answers go according to plan.

For the game updates, Tekken 7 expands their sales. Square Enix gives a chance to those who are pre-ordering their new title Dissidia Final Fantasy NT to win a brand new arcade cabinet with Dissidia built in. With Dragonball Fighter Z beta being around the corner. Tokyo Attack teams up with GDQ(Games Done Quick) to bring the Dragonball Fighter Z demo as the last test location before launch. Soulcalibur VI can now be pre-ordered through Amazon through 8wayrun. Capcom gives hint and leads way too early patch notes before SFV:AE is released. X-kira did some data mining and found there may be a few hidden gems not revealed yet by Capcom.

In Randoms of The FGC, Evo Japan is breaking some of the old Evo big numbers in contestant entries. The Focus Attack rounds up all the new games this year and with Uchi on the show. The team all look at the possibilities of what games are highly anticipated for each and what games lack a true future presence in the long run. Last but not least the modders have come out to play.
