According to Joystiq, who originally found out from THR, the film rights for Mass Effect have been obtained by Legendary Pictures. While I didn’t complete Mass Effect because it was just TOO massive for me at the time, I thought the story was great and I frequently think about playing it again just to finish out the story. It has the potential to make a great movie. But then again, so did Max Payne, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and so many other games that have turned into bad movies ( a piece of my soul was torn away from me when Max Payne sucked in theatres). Mark Protosevich (the guy who wrong “I Am Legend”) is in talks to write this movie. I’ll probably go to see it, but I’m not going in with high hopes.
