BFG Tech Shuts Down PSU Division

It seems things over at BFG Tech are not what they seem.  The company could be slowly fazing out their entire company soon enough.  The company first announced that they were leaving the PC graphics card business back in May of 2010, and this is what they stated as per HardOCP.

“After eight years of providing innovative, high-quality graphics cards to the market, we regret to say that this category is no longer profitable for us, although we will continue to evaluate it going forward”, said John Slevin, chairman of BFG Technologies. “We will continue to provide our award-winning power supplies and gaming systems, and are working on a few new products as well. I’d like to stress that we will continue to provide RMA support for our current graphics card warranty holders, as well as for all of our other products such as power supplies, PCs and notebooks.”

The plan to keep the PSU division seems to be changing.  The announcement today is that the company will be shutting down this division as well.  If you do have an RMA, please be sure to take care of the situation as quickly as possible as this news could possibly affect your product very soon as per HardOCP.

We are being told this morning by sources inside BFG Tech that its “PSU department” has been let go. I would suggest that if you have a BFG card that needs to be RMA’d, you need to get that done ASAFP. We do not see the company being “in business” much longer as it is reported that all its remaining inventory has been moved.
