Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga Coming Soon!

Atlus, publisher of some of the finest RPGs I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing, released a wealth of information and media on Thursday in regards to its action-RPG offering on XBox 360: Divinity II. I honestly never played the original Divine Divinity or the ensuing Ego Draconis but this title looks like a good jumping in point, as it includes a remastered Ego Draconis and the  Flames of Vengeance add-on, and as always Atlus has a ton of goodies they’re giving away with the game at a great price. Check out the skinny below.

ATLUS RELEASES DEMO, FULL TRAILER, PRE-ORDER BONUS ART BOOK SAMPLE PAGES FOR DIVINITY II: THE DRAGON KNIGHT SAGA FOR XBOX 360
Spend hours exploring the game before it’s even released!

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — MARCH 24, 2011 — Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today released a host of content and media for its upcoming action RPG Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Launching today on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace is the official Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga demo, which offers fans a taste of the game’s 100-plus hours of action RPG combat and exploration. Also releasing today is the game’s full trailer, offering a better sense of the dark cloud of conflict that looms over the realm of Rivellon, not to mention capturing the thrill of taking to the skies as an enormous dragon. Lastly, sample pages from The Art of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, the game’s pre-order bonus art book, are now available for viewing enjoyment.

The demo released today takes players through the game’s introduction, offering a sizeable portion of Rivellon’s Broken Valley to explore. While the demo’s handful of hours pale in comparison to the 100+ hours of action RPG excitement in the full game, there are plenty of quests to discover and complete, NPCs to interact with, merchants with whom to barter, and of course, monsters to slay. The demo serves as a balanced overture for curious fans and series newcomers, concluding just as it lets gamers transform into a dragon for the first time and rise into the skies of Rivellon.

Each and every launch copy of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga includes a free soundtrack CD featuring 21 tracks from composer Kirill Pokrovsky’s heroic fantasy score. In addition to the game and bonus CD, fans who pre-order at a participating retailer will also get The Art of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, a 52-page, full color art book (7.5″ wide x 5.25″ tall) featuring spectacular creature and world designs from the game. The entire set can be had for only $39.99, but pre-order bonus quantities are limited so fans are advised to reserve their copy as soon as possible!

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox 360 system brings its fast-paced action RPG combat and high-flying dragon battles to North America on April 12, 2011. For more information, visit http://www.divinity2-saga.com.
