Productivity Killer: K.O.L.M.I.A.M. [Browser Game]

K.O.L.M.I.A.M.

If you’re bored and looking for a web browser game, then K.O.L.M.I.A.M. is the game for you.  In this game you play a sad emo robot, who at the start of every level is broken.  All he is able to do is walk left and right.  However to complete each level you have to be able to jump, blast gates, be waterproof, and sometimes compressible.  How do you complete a level then?  Well you have to go find your parts!  Oh, did I mention you only have one minute to complete the level too.

At first you think okay this doesn’t seem that hard, however as you progress so does the difficulty of each level.  It reaches a point where in order to complete the time in just a minute you can’t make any mistakes.  Luckily there is a reset option that will will allow you to start the level over.  One thing that definitely will hamper completing a level in a timely fashion is death.  The respawn time if you get killed by enemies or fall on spikes is like a death sentence.  It seems to take far too long when you only have 60 seconds to complete the level.

There are a couple different types of enemies you will encounter in this game.  There are ones that will follow your moves and the only way to kill the is to get them to run into a wall.  There are stationery enemies that will just shoot at you.  Lastly there are the enemies that just walk in a set paths.  You also have the spike pits, conveyer belts and the water to watch out for (unless you made you robot waterproof first).

K.O.L.M.I.A.M.

It can get kind of dizzy if you play for too long though.  This is because as you are moving you emo robot friend around his weight will cause the whole map to tilt.  It’s like your playing one of those boxes with the holes and balls, and you are trying to get all the balls in the holes.  So if you get motion sickness easily you might not want to play this game.  I also didn’t really like how you had to blast doors open repeatedly.   Every time you left an area and went back the door would be there again.  In my opinion if you blow up a door it should stay blown up.

I found this game pretty addicting, just because of the time limit pushing you to get the level done.  However it can also get pretty frustrating if you keep missing the level by just one second because either you missed a jump or you fell on some spikes and had to wait to respawn.  If you are having problems completing the level within the time limit then go check out K.O.L.M.  This is the basically the same exact game but without the one minute timer and with much bigger maps.  So go give this game a shot and you will fall in love with the cute little emo robot like I did.
