Assassin’s Creed Revelations Accidentally Announced

Ubisoft slips up and provides the name and logo of the next game in the series.

Publisher Ubisoft posted “an exclusive look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game” on Facebook. I don’t know how something posted publicly on FB can be considered exclusive, but I digress. The point is, a link to a page containing an animus-type video and the above image was included in the post. Ubisoft promptly removed the entire thing, but some forum users over on NeoGAF were able to grab hold of the logo and some other imagery. Follow the link to see a screen grab of the Ubisoft post in question.

The May issue of Game Informer is said to contain a full unveiling of the game, according to IGN. With E3 just over a month away, it’s also a near-lock that Ubisoft will be showing off Assassin’s Creed in some form or another at the Los Angeles Convention.
