Atlus Announces Mahjong Cub3d

New puzzle game coming to the 3DS.

Mahjong Cub3d

Atlus has announced that it will be publishing developer Sunsoft’s Mahjong Cub3d for the Nintendo 3DS.  The tile-matching puzzle game is scheduled to hit Nintendo’s new handheld later this summer.   Atlus promises the game will contain over 200 puzzles across three different modes and difficulty settings.  There’s a head-to-head versus mode, a classic setup for solo play and “Cube Mode.”  In Cube Mode, players will be challenged with rapidly rotating the 3D puzzle to match tiles before time runs out.

While Mahjong Cub3d looks like it will be a fun little puzzle game, MTB just hopes that it doesn’t start an awful trend of other developers replacing “ed” with “3D”.  Games for the 3DS are in 3D.  We get that.
