BlazBlue Continuum Shift Patch Announced, BlazBlue Continuum Shift II Coming to PSP and 3DS

More BlazBlue madness coming to your console of choice in May!

It’s been an excruciatingly long time since the DLC has been released for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, but it seems it’s finally time for a patch and this one is pretty special.  The upcoming Continuum Shift patch will make all the balancing changes to match the arcade version of BlazBlue Continuum Shift II.  In addition to balance tweaks, the new patch will enable players to purchase the new character Platinum the Trinity (yes, that’s her full name).  Platinum will be selling for $7.99 on the Playstation Store and will go for 560 Microsoft Points on 360.  The V1.03 patch should also improve the online component for better matches and fix to some of the bugs in the game.  The patch will be out sometime in May.

Yet that’s not all Aksys has up their sleeves.  They also announced that BlazBlue: Contiuum Shift II is making its way to both the 3DS and PSP.  These ports will contain the full character roster from BlazBlue Contiuum Shift II as well as feature some new play modes such as Abyss mode, a type of dungeon mode where players earn items, and the revamped Legion 1.5 mode from the previous PSP port of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger.  There will also be ad-hoc multiplayer for up to four players where two players fight while the other players spectate and wait their time.  Despite the handheld nature of the port, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is a pretty feature heavy translation of the game.  It should also hit stores around the same time the home console-based Continuum Shift patch is release in May.  Fighting game fans should check out the launch trailer from Youtube seen below.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.
