Nintendo Shows off Ocarina of Time 3DS Opening

Zelda fanatics cry tears of nostalgia (or maybe that was just me).

Today, I am 15 years old again.  Well, not really, but that’s how I felt while viewing the opening video of Grezzo’s 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  Nintendo posted the clip on the game’s official site and Andriasang picked up on it. While I didn’t literally break down and cry like certain journalists during Twilight Princess’ unveiling, I was utterly captivated by its understated charm.

The game’s opening was always a beautiful scene that foreshadowed the incredible adventure that lay ahead; now it’s even more impressive when you take in its stunning visual overhaul. Check out Link trotting through the serene Hylian landscape on Epona’s back in a graphical presentation that was in no way possible in 1998. June needs to get here. Now.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.
