PSP Still a “Go” in America

See what we did there?

On Tuesday, we reported that Sony was seemingly halting production of the PSP Go. As it turns out reports of the system’s demise, in America at least, were greatly exaggerated. We are still operating under the belief that Japan and Europe will no longer be seeing the handheld on store shelves once current stock is depleted; however, SCEA told Joystiq today that that is not the case in the USA. The publishers responded that they “are continuing production of PSP Go for North America.”

This brief response leaves plenty of room for speculation as to how long they will continue producing PSP Gos. For the foreseeable future at least, consumers will continue to be able to purchase one.
