Red Faction Delayed One Week, Demo Coming May 3

Red Faction fans may be dismayed to hear of the brief delay, but relief comes in the form of a demo available on May 3.

THQ’s Red Faction: Armageddon has slid from its May 31 release date.  The good news is that it’s only been pushed back a week to June 7 in North America and June 10 in Europe.  The publisher also announced that the demo will be available for download on the 360 on May 3.  PS3 owners will have to wait longer if Sony has not straightened out its PSN troubles by then.

In the demo, gamers will take control of Darius Mason as he battles through Martian sewers amidst an alien invasion.  The colonists believe that Mason is the man responsible for the alien threat, so you’ll have to fight to clear up that misunderstanding.  That is, of course, when you’re not too busy chucking whole buildings at your enemies with the Magnet Gun.
