NCSoft has officially announced a drop date for the next major patch. 2.5 which is titled “Empyrean Calling.” The new patch will be adding such things as guild cloaks, new pet functions, sharper graphics and a new instance called Esoterrace. The new instance is going to be available to what seems to be level 55 players, and will be available as long as one fortress in their respective areas in Balaurea are being held.
The trailer for the new patch is also out and shows us some of the changes to the graphics as well as the new cloak system and instance. In the trailer we also get a sneak peak at Aion patch 3.0 which shows the introduction of mounts as well. As an Aion player myself, I am very excited to see what the new patch holds beyond what we’ve seen! PTS servers are currently up and available for use and expect the patch to fully drop on Wednesday, May 25th of 2011.
