Game of Thrones Being Made into a, uh, Game

Ubisoft will publish a Thrones game this September.

Ubisoft is set to release a game adaptation of the Game of Thrones IP in the UK.  The title will be a PC-only strategy take on the A Song of Ice and Fire books and its story deals with the events that preface the popular show currently running on HBO.  The game will be titled A Game of Thrones: Genesis and is coming sometime in September.

Ubisoft’s UK brand manager Ombeline Wallon had this to say about the project:?“The saga has a strong following and a committed community – even more so since the start of the TV series.  We will ensure they are aware and enthused by the release of the game.”

No evidence has yet arisen that the game will be released in other territories.   We also don’t know what studio is crafting the game.  Keep an eye on MTB for more details as they become available.
