Bungie Aerospace Targeting Mobile/Social Game Partnerships

Check your phone, Bungie's calling.

Everybody’s been wondering just what exactly Bungie Aerospace is since its existence was revealed a little while back.  Thanks to a press release today, we finally know that it’s been set up to foster partnerships with mobile and social games developers.  In the statement, Bungie said that partnering with Aerospace “will give studios the creative freedom and the resources they need, like access to the Bungie.net platform and an audience with the incredible Bungie community.”

The first such partnership, is with developer Harebrained Schemes to bring the game Crimson to iOS and Droid devices.   The Seattle studio is headed up by Jordan Weisman of “I Love Bees” and MechWarrior fame.  Crimson is expected to release this summer, and more details were promised to arrive in the weeks ahead.
