E3: NGP Receives New Name and a Price of Its Own

Sony's upcoming handheld gets a new name and a price.

Along with the announcement of new Sony peripherals, the formerly named NGP received it’s official title: the PlayStation Vita.  Is it just me, or does it sound more like a smartphone now?  Nevertheless, Vita stands for “life” in Spanish for those who are not privy, and was named that because it “enables a revolutionary combination of rich gaming and social connectivity within a real world context.”  …Whatever, it still sounds cool and the game line-up is looking more impressive each day.  The Vita also got its official price, $249, and will release later this year.  As for the carrier that will enable its supposed extensive connectivity, they have announced AT&T to be taking on the challenge.  Stay tuned for more about PlayStation Vita and its games here on Mash Those Buttons!
