If you were hoping for HD, prepare to be disappointed.
Despite the press hammering them with questions about it, Nintendo has refused to tell us what the screen resolution is for the Wii U’s touchscreen. Web site Golgotron therefore took it upon themselves to investigate the matter. They estimate that the screen has a res of just 854 x 480. That’s a painful 240 pixels shy of high-definition. Ouch.
