With E3 closing in on us like some terrible summer storm of information, now is the time for new details to emerge regarding some of the year’s most anticipated games. With the recent teaser leak and then official announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it seems that Activision is none too shy about giving gamers what they want. So if you wanted to know more about the recent additions to the multiplayer in what will likely be the year’s best selling title, today’s a pretty good day for you.
In an article posted on Kotaku, a number of brand new killstreaks, perks, and even team perks have been detailed for your reading pleasure. According to the article, the Special Ops mode from Modern Warfare 2 will return along with a wave-based survival offering. Whether or not this means players will be boarding up windows and fending off the undead remains to be seen. The tactical nuke has also been removed to help balance the game out a bit.
Although plenty of exciting additions are mentioned in the article, it seems that PC players are once again left without dedicated servers. While it was expected that every variation of MW3 would likely use a matchmaking service, it’s a bummer to hear servers being nixed once again.
