Orcs Must Die! Coming Late Summer

Robot Entertainment hopes to deliver its tower-defense game by early September.

UPDATE: You can go ahead and completely ignore the original story below. Robot’s Community Coordinator, Duncan Stanley, now says that the game will not be coming in July. Instead, a late August or early September release is likely.

ORIGINAL STORY: Joystiq was able to speak with Robot Entertainment Lead Designer Ian Fisher during E3, and they managed to pry some release info out of him in regards to Orcs Must Die!’s release. “It’ll be launching on XBLA and Steam initially, then other platforms after that,” he explained. “We haven’t talked about price point yet, but we’re looking to launch it sometime this summer — July, at least, is what we’re looking at right now.” Not the most solid release date confirmation, but certainly more so than the generalized summer window that had previously been stated.
