Reggie Slates Wii U for After April 2012; Demos Skyward Sword

Nintendo of America's president appears on the Jimmy Fallon Show and shows off the company's hot, upcoming wares.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Capping off a week-long video game special, Jimmy Fallon had Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime on the his show last night. During the appearance, Reggie showed off some AR battles in Kid Icarus: Uprising, let Jimmy get his mitts on Skyward Sword, and even brought out the Wii U. Fils-Aime then proceeded to reveal that the Wii U will not launch until sometime after April of 2012. That leaves eight months to debate over, but I’m still banking on a traditional holiday release. Then again, Nintendo has always marched to its own beat; so I wouldn’t completely rule out an oddball spring/summer launch just yet.
