Respawn Entertainment Releases Blurry, Indistinct Screens

What the hell are we looking at in these images? We have no idea, but they're from whatever West and Zampella's new studio is working on.

Remember the Duty Duo who created Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and rode the enormous wave of fame and money the game created before a very public breakup with Activision landed them at a new studio under EA’s umbrella?  Of course you do.  Well, Jason West and Vincent Zampella’s new development house, Respawn Entertainment, has officially launched its own web site.

Coinciding with the launch, the developer has released the first two screens of whatever it is they’re working on.  Trouble is, they seem to have smothered Vaseline over the screen before taking the first shot, and the second one is a hot mess of, well, we don’t really know.  Thankfully, Respawn has fully explained the two by stating that they’re working “on creating state-of-the-art gaming experiences for global audiences.”  Oh, now we understand.

In all seriousness, the first image seems to contain some sort of warehouse, barracks or hangar bay surrounded by a few towers.  You can also make out some sort of multiple-story structure in the foreground and what might be mountains off in the distance.  This is all speculation on my part, of course, and doesn’t really clear up anything even if it is accurate.

But that’s more than I can say about the second, clearer picture.  Whatever is going on in that one, is completely lost on us.  Feel free to diligently study both images on your own, and check out the official site for other possible clues.  Let the sleuthing begin.
