Oh, how I do love classic gaming rivalries. Link vs. Ganon, Mario vs. Bowser, Alliance vs. Horde, Peter Molyneaux vs. fan expectations, Kratos vs. pretty much everybody, and who could forget Cake vs. Pie. Wait, what? That’s right dessert fans, from now until June 28th MapleStory players that are level 10 or higher can compete in the returning Cake vs. Pie: Winner Bakes All competition.
Players will be randomly thrown into the warring Cake or Pie factions and tasked with collecting pieces of the pastries for use as battle invitations. Winners will walk away with 6th anniversary loot such as: insignias, special discounts, and bonus EXP. It isn’t known for certain how the centuries-old tasty conflict began, but Pie officials have long claimed that it was set off when Cake ninjas nabbed Princess Pie from grandma’s window sill.
