Former Tom Clancy Devs Open New Studio

The Game Bakers have opened shop over in Paris, France.

Audrey Leprince and Emeric Thoa, developers who formerly worked on Tom Clancy’s EndWar and Splinter Cell Double Agent, have opened up a new studio in Paris, France.  The development house, named “The Game Bakers,” is also home to a small team of individuals from the games and comics industries.  Their site says that the team “will focus on smaller scale, more agile creative projects” in the mobile games sector.

The concept art above is from their first title, Squids.  In the game, players will take control of squids (no way!) “that fate turns into the guardians of the Oceans, and who must protect their world from an upcoming threat: the Black Ooze. You will build an army of Squids to fight off zombie crabs and shrimps and live through an epic adventure.”  A beta is planned for this summer leading up to Squids’ September release.
