Gabe Newell’s Games for Change Keynote Now On the Web

The G4C Festival 2011 Newell keynote is now available online via Vimeo.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Games for Change Festival 2011: Gabe Newell G4LI Keynote from Games for Change on Vimeo.

Say what you will about Steam or its parent company, but it’s hard to deny that Valve co-founder Gabe Newell is an interesting personality.  Easily one of the most outspoken figures in the games community today, Newell always has something to say regarding game development or the impact of games outside of their entertainment value.  With this in mind, it’s easy to see why he was chosen to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Games for Change Festival.  While the conference was held several weeks ago, video of Newell’s keynote has finally been uploaded to the web.  Featured above is the video in question and it’s a lengthy (and pretty fascinating) one to boot.
