Orcs Must Die! Gets Publisher, Release Timeframe

Before the summer's out, you could be killing off more orcs than you can shake a claymore at.

Robot Entertainment’s tower-defense title, Orcs Must Die!, will be arriving on both XBLA and PC at some point during late summer. Considering that they previously said it would come out during August or September, that really doesn’t narrow things down much. More newsworthy, is that Microsoft has signed on as the game’s publisher.

If you can’t wait another month or so, then stop on by the Xbox Lounge at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 23rd or 24th to slaughter those orc nasties by the bushel. Robot will also be handing out copies of a prequel comic that “tells the story of a world endangered by savage monsters and of the heroes that rose up to drive them back” during the show. If you’re not going to the con, but simply cannot live without finding out why the orcs must die, know that the comic will also be digitally distributed for free later this summer.
