PS Vita’s UK Release Date Leaked?

A supposed Blockbuster brochure has the system hitting the UK in late October.

If a flyer that was anonymously mailed in to IGN is legitimate, then Blockbuster has beaten Sony to the punch in announcing the PS Vita’s UK release date.  The flyer, supposedly from Blockbuster’s UK branch, lists an October 28th launch for both the 3G and WiFi models of Sony’s upcoming handheld.

At press time, the authenticity of said brochure has not yet been verified.  It should be noted that the Blockbuster’s UK web site still lists the platform as having a “TBA” release.  Blockbuster itself has yet to respond to questions over the flyer’s legitimacy.  Meanwhile, Sony would only say that they are planning a “phased global release” for the Vita.  They did not confirm or deny the accuracy of the ad.

That decision seems to indicate that the date is true.  If it were not, why not simply say so?  Still it’s far from an official confirmation.  We’d love to hear your thoughts as to whether or not the brochure is legit.  Leave us one.
