Star Fox 64 3D Taking to the Skies on September 9th

Remember when Star Fox didn't suck? Nintendo does, and they're delivering the proof in less than two months.

The mostly lackluster 3DS library is getting a booster shot from another remake of one of Nintendo’s best N64 titles on Friday, September 9th when Star Fox 64 3D releases. In the time since the title originally released, the Star Fox series has crashed and burned faster than Slippy on a solo mission to stop Andross’ entire fleet; however, the 3D port of the best game in the franchise might be just what the franchise needs to regain relevancy.

With any luck, a successful launch will lead to Nintendo developing an original Fox game that stays true to the series’ airborne roots and deftly avoids the lame on-foot missions that have plagued more recent entries.
