Four CD Soundtrack Compilation for The King of Fighters XIII

Atlus releases a pretty decent pre-order bonus for King of Fighters XIII.

The Kind of Fighters XIII

Folks that pre-order their copy of The King of Fighters XIII at select retailers will receive a four CD soundtrack compilation that spans the 15+ years of the series’ history.  This offer is for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions only, and is of course while supplies last.  Call your local retailer to make sure they are supporting this awesome deal.

Atlus had not just a pre-order bonus to announce, but also more details about the console versions of the game.  The story mode will be influenced by the player, and the story will be able to be viewed from several difference characters’ perspectives.  The online mode will feature three different match types: Ranked Match, Player Match, and Friend Match.  Ranked match features strict rules and obviously a ranking system.  Unranked matches allow for custom matches, and Friend Match permits you to play with who you want to by inviting them.

There is also a Mission mode that offers three different objectives.  Time attack has you trying to defeat all of the enemies as fast as possible.  In Survival you try to (shockingly) survive as many enemies as possible.  In Trial mode you will complete special challenges for each character.  There is also a tutorial mode that will explain each control and the different gauges on screen. Other modes available are Arcade, Versus, Practice, Replay, Gallery and Customize.  The King of Fighters XIII is due to release this October.
