Google+ Getting Games

Let the lollygagging at work begin!

Google + is getting closer and closer to invading Facebook’s territory: owning everyone’s soul. Google is rolling out the first games for its Google+ social network. According to Google’s official blog, they are trying to make sharing games easy for everyone, but if you don’t want to see them they can just as easily be gone. Which would be a nice welcome in comparison to the billions of farm requests that flood my message box.

The Google+ game page will be placed near the stream buttons. When you want to see something about the games people are playing, click the button and it will take you to a new stream just about Google+ games. If you don’t want to know what is going on with your friends and the games they are playing, simply just click on a different button near the stream.

A few really interesting games are leading the charge. The most interesting ones seem to be Angry Birds, Bejeweled Blitz, and Dragon Age Legends. Just in case Angry Birds hasn’t completely dominated your free time, get ready for it to suck even more hours away from you very soon if you have a Google+ account. Google+ seems to be taking steps in the right direction for it to compete with Facebook, but only time will tell if this move will help Google draw in more users.
