Transmission T²: Ono X Harada – A Street Fighter X Tekken Tale

Katsuhiro Harada takes on Yoshinori Ono for a chance to be featured in his rival's game

Yoshinori Ono and Katsuhiro Harada are producers for what are arguably two of the most popular fighting franchises in history. Ono is the producer for the Street Fighter series and Harada for the Tekken line of games. As you likely heard, their worlds are coming together for the first time in Street Fighter X Tekken, and there have been many promo events surrounding the game. At one such event at Comic-Con 2011, Harada made a video demanding that he be included in the game. Ono refused initially, but they decided to leave it up to a series of challenges that would result in, assuming Harada ended up being victorious, him getting his wish. You can see their contest of wills below:

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Honestly, the best part of the PR campaign for Street Fighter X Tekken has been the good-natured competition between the rival game makers. It’s been hilarious (and strange), but along with how fantastic the game looks it has done nothing but keep me entertained. I can only hope it will continue in the lead-up to Tekken X Street Fighter.
