Run Headlong into Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

Another Halo 2 map is being remade for this remake. Don't make me repeat that, Spartan.

When Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary drops out of orbit this November, fans are going to have yet another remade classic map to toy around in. Halo 2’s Headlong is being included under its new name of ‘Breakneck.’ In case you’re that guy that didn’t play Master Chief’s second outing, Breakneck is an asymmetrical map that 343i says will be ideal for “vehicular combat, objective-based gametypes, and Big Team-esque Slayer battles.”

Aside from the graphical bump, some of the map itself is also being altered. Say goodbye to the teleporter that was perched atop blue team’s base and say hello to the man-canon that is taking its place. Additional walls will also provide for added cover on the blue side of things. Over in the red zone, the Engineering Hallway has been extended and the Office has been opened up by an open-ceiling. You are know cordially invited to furiously complain in the comments about your fear of change.
