Harrison Ford Plays Uncharted 3 for Japanese Ad Campaign

Jump on in for 100% less disappointment than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Sony has apparently tapped the rogue who made the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs to pimp Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in Japan. Translation: actor Harrison Ford is endorsing Naughty Dog’s three-quel in Japanese commercials. The video above shows some of the behind-the-scenes work that went into the filming and features Ford talking earnestly about the title.

The actual 30 second TV spot (below) is dull and lame by comparison. Don’t blame Harrison for it, though; watching someone’s forced facial expressions and controller manipulations while they play a game wouldn’t be enjoyable no matter who was playing. Speaking of playing, Sony has the revered actor play, you guessed it, that damned cargo plane mission again. This is the 843rd time the publisher has shown that particular section of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception by our count.

Nathan Drake’s latest adventure will crash land on the PlayStation 3 on November 1 in North America.
