Starting tomorrow, gamers will have a chance to give something back to the community. Extra Life is a 24 hour gaming marathon that helps benefit kids at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. If you are participating, you are asked to recruit at least four sponsors to give at least $1 each hour towards your gaming marathon. If you do not have the time to dedicate a full day, you can do a partial day because it is done from your own home. If you have a few friends who can help you out by sponsoring you, you will be truly contributing in a very easy way.
Gaming marathons usually involve some sort of lock down in a church or school to raise money, but this one you can do from the comfort of home. Hopefully this will assure more participants. All the proceeds from your game-a-thon will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network hospital closest to you.
