Skyward Sword’s Soundtrack is Going to Be Orchestrated

Some of the best music in the industry will finally be performed by instruments not out of a Casio keyboard.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

We now take you away from your dreary everyday news for something a little more mood-lifting.  Nintendo has announced that the upcoming, and intensely anticipated, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will have another series-first feature.  Aside from the new art style and the Motion Plus controls, Zelda fans can expect the Wii’s (possible) swan song title to have a fully orchestral soundtrack.  We here at Mash Those Buttons know quite a few people who will be excited to hear this news, and we hope you count yourself among them.

There isn’t a single Zelda song out there which isn’t emotionally moving or, at the very least, catchy as all hell.  Jess Weimar dedicated last week’s Fridays in the Key of Geek feature to one of my all-time favorite Zelda melodies, the Song of Storms.  If Nintendo manages to capture at least a fraction of the musical masterpiece of Zelda’s past in Skyward Sword, all Nintendo fans out will luck out this November.
