“Tales of the Abyss? Wait a minute Mash Those Buttons, that was an old game for the PlayStation 2,” I hear you saying. Right you are, loyal fans, but remakes and ports are all the rage in this day and age. Which is what I am getting at: Tales of the Abyss is being ported to the 3DS. It is updated for the system — the use of 3D being the biggest addition — which is something to look forward to. Fans of the original game will be able to enjoy a mostly unspoiled gaming experience.
This title features the story of Luke fon Fabre, the only heir to a family of aristocrats (definitely not Aristocats, sorry). Luke is a spoiled, snooty person who must learn to make friends with commoners and save the world. His actions determine whether or not the world perishes. This new version of Tales of the Abyss has a planned release date of February 14, 2012 in North America. Nothing says you care on Valentine’s day like the abyss.
