“From bad to worse” continues to be the most succinct way of explaining things over at Team Bondi. After having been dropped by its publisher and going into liquidation, it turns out the L.A. Noire developer still owes more than a considerable bit of money to a more than considerable number of people. According to a recent story from Gamesindustry.biz, over forty creditors are demanding their money from what remains of the team.
If that weren’t bad enough, it appears as though pretty much everyone who worked for Team Bondi during L.A. Noire‘s seven years in development is claiming they haven’t been paid a significant amount of their wages. Claims run from the bottom of the corporate totem pole (interns asking for over $1,500) all the way to the top. Brendan McNamara, head of the studio, is apparently owed over $100,000.
Amidst position terminations and likely immanent closure of the studio, Team Bondi continues its catastrophic downward spiral. We here at Mash Those Buttons will be sure to keep you up with all the details as things unfold.
